Haptic Lab - Part 2 - Kites
As well as Emily's Quilts, she had also started a Kites Project. Emily had taken a traditional Balinese design and made it her own to create Sailing Ship Kites.
Each kite was handmade by Balinese artisans exclusively for Haptic Lab from locally-sourced bamboo and nylon, and are a certified Fair Trade product. The white kites measure approximately 26 x 28” and as we found out they fly best in strong winds, and fly in a figure of '8' motion.
The kites also comes with Baltic birch kite handle, specially made for Haptic Lab, and wrapped with braided dacron flying line all made in NYC.
They've arrived!
