we choose a fable to illustrate 5 points in the story using our kits,
mine was the ring and the fish....
Here the baron is has looked in the book of fate and sees into the future that his son is going to marry a 'lowly maid'......
he doesn't want his son to marry the maid so he finds her as a baby and throws into the river Ouse, but she doesn't drown, but float to a fisher mans hut, were he looks after her.....
the story goes on to the baron stopping of for a drink one day to find that the maid who was serving him was the one who was going to marry his son. so he send s her of to his brother with a letter telling him to kill her, but on the way she got robbed and the robbers changed the letter to tell the brother to marry the maid to the son. so when the baron gets to his brothers castle he finds all these wedding plans going of. so he takes the young girl for a walk along the cliffs and tries to through her in but she pleads with him and in the end he takes of his gold rings and throughs it into the sea and says " never let me see your face till you can show me that ring".
then the maid one day was preparing a fish for a nobles banquet, were the baron was one of his guests, as she was about to boil it she found the gold ring inside it. she served it up and took it out and showed it to the baron which was sat out side and then he realised i was fate that this was the girl his son sud marry.....
so the son and the maid got married back at the Barron's castle and they all lived happy as could be ever afterwards.
here's bits and pieces of papers and materials from my kit...
